<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a heat keeping cover from being damaged due to end-up, warp, etc., of a steel material top part by holding and carrying a high temperature steel material top part by a holding roll which is erected on an entry, a delivery and a middle part of a planer-type heat keeping cover erected in the upper part of a roller table. CONSTITUTION:A high temperature steel material 45 which has come out of a rough rolling mill moves on a roll table 1 and passes through an entry holding roll device 10 and goes into a heat keeping cover, and subsequently, passes through a middle part holding roll device and carried into the next heat keeping cover. When there is end-up in a top part of the high temperature steel material 45, each vertical cylinder 25 of the holding roll device 10 and the middle part holding roll device is operated. Next, each driving roll 18 is allowed to descend and positioned horizontally, and also, by operating a cylinder 23 of each holding device, each driving roll is fixed. In such a way, as for the high temperature steel material 45 which has generated its end-up, the end-up decreases, and it can be prevented that the top part of the high temperature steel material comes into contact or collision with the heat keeping cover.</p> |
