PURPOSE:To drop a separator quickly and accurately on an electrode by a method wherein, when the separator to be interposed between each polarizational electrode of an electric double layer capacitor cell, is punched out from a paper material with a cutting blade, an air-escape groove is provided between the peripheral fringe of the separator and the wall of the falling path of the separator. CONSTITUTION:A separator 2a is punched out by a cutting blade 14 and the thrusting blade 19a of a punch 19, the separator comes down the small diameter part 13b, which is a separator falling path, of a die 13, and it is placed on the electrode 5 in a cell case. Eave-like blade bodies 16, protruding toward the small diameter part 13b, are provided on the cutting blade 14 in order to allow the separator to come down without inclination. These blade bodies are provided uniformly at the prescribed intervals, and the separator 2a is punched out in a petal-like form. As a result, air-escape grooves are formed between the separators 2 and the small diameter part 13b, thereby allowing the separator to fall on the electrode 5 quickly without inclination. |
