PURPOSE:To reduce the drop in printing density and to stably maintain a specified concentration even if a certain degree of fine toner is used in quantity by providing, on a developer carrying path, a fine toner collecting mechanism for collecting fine toner. CONSTITUTION:A mesh plate 7 is provided on a scraper 6 which is one of the places in a developer carrying path, and sucked from a lower suction duct 8, thereby sucking a fine toner of 5mum or less out of a developing device. The suction duct 8 is strongly sucked with a front suction duct 9 and rear suction duct 9 by means of a blower. Since the fine toner of 5mum or less in the developer is sucked in the process of passing the scraper 6 with a carrier, increase in the amount of microtoner in the developing device is restrained; therefore, the drop in printing density is reduced, and specified concentration in the device is stably maintained. |
