<p>A control device, switch unit therefor and methods of making the same are provided. The electrical switch unit (31) comprises a switch (32) having a movable actuator (33), a lever (34) pivotally carried by the switch (31) and having one end (41) adapted to be operatively interconnected to a movable part (27, 43) of a control device (20) so as to be pivoted by the movement thereof, the lever (34) being operatively interconnected to the actuator (33) to operate the switch (32) between the different conditions thereof in relation to the pivoted position of the lever (34), and a pair of mounting plates (35) respectively having holding structure (36) that hold the switch (32) between the plates (35) and respectively having pivot structure (37) that pivotally mount the lever (34) between the plates (35), whereby the plates (35), the switch (32) and the lever (34) form a self-supporting switch unit (31).</p> |
