A studio table has a frame (1) comprising two oblique side-members (2) which are joined at the bottom integrally with floor legs (3). The table top (10) is articulatedly fixed to four bars (11, 12), of which two bars (11) are guided by means of telescope guides (14) in the two oblique legs (2), whereas the other two bars (12) are articulated at their lower ends on slide pieces (16) which are displaceable in guides (17) embedded in the side-members (2). The position of the table top (10) desired in each case can be secured by means of fixing members (18). Such a table has a low centre of gravity and a simple method of construction, with a large adjustment range of the table top (10) (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
