Ti wire with a diameter of 0.14mm is used as a high specific resistance wire. W wire in a diameter of 0.04mm is used as a low specific resistance wire wound around the first wire to make the heating element. The specific resistances of Ti wire ad W wire are 4.7x 10 power 5 ohm Cm and 5.6x10 power -6 Cm resepctively. 10 turns of the above W wire are wound per 1mm of Ti wire. After forming the element into a particular shape it is covered with alumina and sintered. |
