Glass melting furnace for high melting and refining temperatures
摘要
Known glass melting furnaces for said purpose have considerable wear on the refractory material and/or an unstable temperature layering inside the glass melt, which leads to losses of quality in the molten glass. The new glass melting furnace is intended to avoid these disadvantages. The new glass melting furnace is characterised essentially in that it consists of two concentric, round or polygonal parts which are separated by a molybdenum pipe and are interconnected in their lower part. The outer part serves as melting part and the inner part as refining part. The glass extraction opening is provided centrally in the furnace in the upper part of the refining part. In the new glass melting furnace, an advantageous temperature distribution and glass melting flow are achieved for the melting process and the refining process and very high constant glass qualities can be produced. The new glass melting furnace is suitable in particular for manufacturing glass with particularly high quality in relatively small quantities. <IMAGE>
