PURPOSE:To improve efficiency by detecting size when manuscripts of plural sizes are mixedly set, discharging a first size immediately and a second size after once stacked with only the first and the second sizes copied, and then similarly treating a third and the following sizes. CONSTITUTION:When manuscripts D having different sizes of three kinds or more are set at random on a circular type automatic manuscript feeding device 10, at the time of the successive carrying of the manuscripts D to the exposure position 3 of a copying machine main body 20, only a first and a second sizes are copied with manuscript sizes detected with a detector 37, and a third and the following sizes are returned on a manuscript tray 1 without copying. And the first size copy is immediately discharged to and the second size one is once stacked on an intermediate tray to be discharged to a finisher. Next at the time of all manuscript circulation in the second time, copying is made only for the manuscripts of a third and fourth size, and successive discharge is made to the finisher in the same way. Thus the efficiency of a copy work can be improved without the need of the rearrangement of the manuscripts by size. |
