PURPOSE:To make the wiring pitch of a flexible printed wiring board narrower so that the wiring can be improved in density and accuracy by simultaneously forming lands for positioning on both sides of a circuit pattern by etching when the circuit pattern is formed, and positioning the current pattern according to the lands and connecting it by press welding. CONSTITUTION:On a printed wiring board 21 a circuit pattern 26 in which narrow terminal pieces 25 are arranged in parallel with each other at 0.5-mm pitches is formed at a connecting part 24 to a printed circuit 23 formed on the surface of a substrate 22. Then ring-like lands 27 which are tied with the lands 10 for positioning are formed on both sides of the circuit pattern 26. Moreover, notched sections which are engaged with keeping tools 30 are provided in the substrate sections on the outside of the lands 27. When the connecting part 6 of an FPC 1 is put on the connecting part 24 of the RPC 21 and the lands 10 and 27 are tied with each other, facing terminal pieces 7 and 25 are respectively brought into contact and electrically connected to each other. By engaging the engaging leg sections 31 of the keeping tools 30 with the notched sections 28 and pressing the FPC 1 against the RPC 21 through a cushion material 32, such as silicon rubber, etc., the facing terminals pieces 7 and 25 are certainly brought into contact with each other. |
