SURFACE TREATING AGENT, METHOD FOR TREATING SURFACE, SOLID SUBSTANCE WITH TREATED SURFACE AND RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition improved in interfacial properties between a resin matrix and a filler by treating the surface of a solid substance with a specific surface treating agent and blending the resultant surface-treated solid substance with a resin. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a solid substance having a functional group assuming acidity or basicity or capable of providing acidity or basicity for treatment (e.g., silica or alumina) is brought into contact with a surface treating solution containing a compound having >=1 cyclic iminoether groups (e.g., monoxazoline compound or oxazine-based compound) to provide a surface- treated solid substance having a ring-opened reaction product of the cyclic iminoether groups or polyaddition product thereof chemically bound thereto or a cyclic iminoether group-containing compound physically adsorbed thereto. The resultant solid substance is then blended with a resin.
