A container for storing plate-like articles, in particular so-called steel band cuts in the folding-box industry, having guide paths of a shelf or the like which receive one of these articles in an approximately vertical position, is intended to make it possible to achieve effortless handling of steel band cuts for the purpose of storage thereof, specifically without contact with a knife and irrespective of size.
