In a rotary-piston machine with infinitely adjustable fluid throughput in the form of a vane-cell refrigerant compressor designed for double flow it is proposed to seal the control disc on the side of the plate bearing it, that is to say on the side of the vane-cell working chambers with varying volume, in such a way that an axial pressure balance of the control disc is achieved with a corresponding reduction in the required adjustment forces. Moreover, an integrated pneumatic/hydraulic adjustment of the control disc by means of a piston/cylinder unit is provided which activates the control disc directly via a gearing or via an adjustment wheel and a driver pin. The gas flowing over through the recess in the control disc is passed through transverse orifices in the side plate delimiting the control disc and can, if desired, be cooled. <IMAGE>
