PURPOSE:To automatically update variable density information added to a corresponding model by successively updating the variable density information added to each small polygon according to picture information obtained with the motion of a three-dimensional object, a form change or a picked-up image from plural directions. CONSTITUTION:A three-dimensional form model deforming part 6 determines to which part in an input picture the characteristic point on the form model corresponds based on the result of a characteristic point extracting part 5, a deforming processing is executed for the three-dimensional form model accumulated in a three-dimensional storing part 2 so that the size, direction and form of the three-dimensional model may correspond to the object in the input picture, and the deformed three-dimensional model is accumulated into a three- dimensional form model storing part 3 after the deformation. Next, an updating determining part 7 decides whether or not the variable density information in the small polygon presently accumulated in a variable density information storing part 4 in units of a small polygon to constitute the three-dimensional form model is updated with the use of the variable density information newly obtained from a picture memory 1, and based on a result, an updating processing part 8 updates the variable density information of the small polygon actually accumulated in the variable density storing part 4. |
