980,820. Belt fastenings. H. ZILLER. Jan. 30, 1963 [Jan. 31, 1962], No. 3876/63. Heading F2Q. A belt connection comprises pointed double hooks 1, 2, of at least two different lengths, so arranged that the cross-bar of each shorter hook 1 is overlapped by at least one shank of an adjacent longer hook 2, and the spacings between the shanks of each hook, and between the corresponding shanks of adjacent hooks, are integral multiples of the transverse spacing of the belt perforations, the cross-bars of the hooks being staggered relative to the belt end. The cross-bars of the shorter hooks are cranked towards the belt at the points where the shanks of the longer hooks cross them, and the hooks may be joined, e.g. by welding, at these points. |
