Gas accumulator for fluids with a separating piston

At its top open end, the separating piston has an elastic seal, with an oil chamber in front, against the gas pressure. At its bottom end, it likewise has an elastic seal against the accumulator fluid and above it an oil chamber in front for lubricating the seal. A pressureless space is located between the two seals and oil chambers. This space is accessible from outside through a window in the cylinder and can be used for the tank level indication and limit switch. <IMAGE>
