<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title additive having interchangeability at low cost by regulating a sponge titanium granule having specific grain size and sponge iron powder or atomizing iron powder having specific grain size to a specific weight of mixed green compact with the specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:A green compact constituted of 50 to 85% metallic titanium and the balance substantial iron is formed from a sponge titanium granule having <=10mm grain size and sponge iron powder and/or atomizing iron powder having <=3mm grain size. At this time, the weight of each granule is regulated to 3 to 100g. To the above green compact, <=1% lubricant and one or more kinds among <=10% alloy elements, alloys and turning scraps can furthermore be incorporated. By this method, the additive for the introduction of titanium into a molten steel having no loss at the time of manufacturing and having high specific gravity and good adding efficiency can be obtd. The above additive furthermore has good interchangeability with an Fe-Ti alloy at the time of continuous using.</p> |
