<p>PURPOSE:To produce a ceramic resistor having super-heating preventing function at a low cost by maintaining an insulating ceramic in a specific atmosphere and irradiating a part of the surface of the insulating ceramic with heat energy ray, thereby making the irradiated part to have a function of a heat-generating material. CONSTITUTION:The objective ceramic resistor 1 is produced by maintaining an insulating ceramic (e.g., substrate 2) in a specific atmosphere and irradiating a part (e.g., the part 3) of the insulating ceramic 2 with heat energy ray, thereby forming a resistor (partial resistor part 3) having a heat-generating function and a fuse function at the irradiated region. The above atmosphere can be selected from Ar, N2, H2, vacuum, air or their arbitrary combination. An insulating ceramic having a function of far infrared radiation material by the heat- generation action of the partial resistor can be produced by the above process for producing a ceramic resistor. CO2 laser light, YAG laser light, etc., can be used as the above heat energy ray.</p> |
