<p>A damaged binding post on a telephone wire connecting panel (12) is replaced by a binding post (34) having a threaded stem (38) and a polygonal head (36) adapted to seat freely in a hole (28) in the panel (12). A retaining nut (40a) is screwed on the stem (38) and spaced from the surface (46) of said panel (12). A bridge (30) is placed over the binding post (34) and each of the next adjacent binding posts (14) and a locking nut threaded over each of the stems (18) of said adjacent binding posts (14), to cause said bridge (30) to bow and provide a bias urging the retaining nut (40a) downwardly forcing the replacement post (34) to seat in the hole (28).</p> |
