PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a plant by inferring either the cause alarm of abnormality or an alarm to occur first, determining corresponding steps, and displaying the steps for a plant operator when the repercussion path of the alarm to occur composes a closed loop, or when the alarm is caused by a multiple failure. CONSTITUTION:When the abnormality is once detected in an alarm monitoring part 3, an inferring part 4 retrieves the alarm under an occurring state using a knowledge base 6, creates a tree-shaped alarm repercussion path, decides that the alarm is the cause alarm of the abnormality when the uppermost stream alarm of the path can be apparently discriminated, groups some alarms including the cause alarm of the abnormality when these alarms compose the closed loop, and when the uppermost stream of the path cannot be identified, grasps the cause-effect relationship between extracted groups, decides that the alarm to occur earliest is the alarm to occur first by comparing respective times of day where the respective alarms to compose the closed loop at the uppermost stream occur, and determines the steps for the above- decided cause alarm and the alarm to occur first. Either the cause alarm of the abnormality or the alarm to occur first and the steps corresponding to them are displayed in a display part 5. Thus, the safety can be improved. |
