PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition for cleaning a molding die for a thermoplastic resin, a rubber or the like, which emits less odor and excels in a cleaning effect by mixing a rubber with a urea derivative. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition for mold cleaning is prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. natural or synthetic rubber, desirably, ethylene/propylene rubber with 1-70pts.wt., desirably, 5-50pts.wt. urea derivative, desirably, of formula I wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each H, methyl, ethyl, propyl, butylcyclohexyl, phenyl, tolyl or xylyl, provided that the case in which all of them are hydrogen atoms is excluded) or formula II wherein R4 is a 2-3 C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group), e.g., diphenylurea, and, optionally, usually 0.1-10pts.wt. alcohol or a b.p. >=100 deg.C (e.g., butyl alcohol or ethylene glycol). The alcohol can further improve the mold cleaning effect of the composition. |
