PURPOSE:To detect a circuit fault and to perform automatic initialization, by allowing all other single-circuit communication control parts which are not in the link disconnection state to send monitor commands, when receiving a link disconnection command from a communication device which requests initialization. CONSTITUTION:Communication devices CU1 and CU2 are connected by single physical circuits L1-Ln, single circuit communication control parts SLP1- SLPN are controlled by plural circuit control parts MLP, and the control parts SLP1-SLPN control the data transmission and reception of the circuits L1- Ln. Each control part MLP is provided with a storage device which has a state display part ST.A for the control parts SLP1-SLPN and a count area C.A for storing a transmission and a reception order number and the transmitted number of data. When the control parts SLP1-SLPN receive read disconnection indication commands DISC from devices CU1-CU2 requesting initialization, all other control parts SLP1-SLPN which are not in a link disconnection state send out a monitor command S.P to detect a fault among circuits L1- Ln automatically. |
