PURPOSE:To avoid the occurrence of a speed change shock due to a reverse drive transmission and prevent an operater from being given with the feeling of unpleasantness on account of a shock sound, by not conducting a speed change from a high speed step to a middle speed step, but conducting the speed change directly to a low speed step. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the coast travel of a transmission gear mechanism when an engine falls into the state of power off, a coast inspecting means inspects its power off state and operates a speed change line changing means. And the change of a speed change line is made against a speed change control means which is going to execute a speed change decided on the basis of a travel condition by means of a speed change deciding means so that a speed change from a high speed step to a middle speed step may be prohibited and instead, a speed change from the high speed step to a low speed step may be permitted. Thus, the occurrence of a speed change shock due to the transmission of the force of reverse drive at such a time as is the time of the speed change from the high speed step to the middle speed step during travel, is avoided, and arrangement can be realized so that an operator may not be subjected to the feeling of unpleasantness due to a shock sound. |
