PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a rubber composition which can exhibit resistance to swelling caused by fluorocarbon gas R 22 and has values of heat resistance and compression set better than those of a chloroprene rubber vulcanizate by mixing chlorinated polyethylene with carbon black, lead sulfate and magnesium oxide. CONSTITUTION:This rubber composition is a peroxide-crosslinkable rubber composition of excellent fluorocarbon gas resistance, containing chlorinated polyethylene, carbon black of a particle diameter of about 50-200mum, lead sulfate and magnesium oxide. The chlorinated polyethylene is preferably one having a chlorine content of about 35-40%. The mixing proportion is such that about 10-150pts.wt. carbon black, about 2-20pts.wt. lead sulfate and about 1-10pts.wt. magnesium oxide are present per 100pts.wt. chlorinated polyethylene. |
