PURPOSE:To improve a sense of incongruity when a sound is heard as a voice by compressing the addition result of an addend and an augend to a maximum encoding value by a code converting circuit and outputting it when the addition result exceeds an upper-limit value, and outputting the addition result as it is when not. CONSTITUTION:This system is equipped with a full-adder 1 for encoded binary numbers, an upper-limit detecting circuit 3 which is set below the maximum value of codes, and the code converting circuit 2 which compresses values from the upper-limit value to a maximum addition value to values from the upper limit value to the maximum code value. When the addition result of this full-adder 1 is larger than the upper-limit value, the output of the code converting circuit 2 is selected and when not, the addition result of the addend (a) and augend (b) of the full-adder 1 is selected and outputted. Namely, when the addition result exceeds the upper-limit value, the addition result is compressed to a value up to the maximum code value by the code converting circuit and outputted, but when not, the addition result of the full-adder 1 is outputted as it is. Consequently, values before and after the upper-limit value is exceeded are connected smoothly, so the sense of incongruity when the sound is heard as a voice is improved. |
