PURPOSE:To enhance carrier generation ability by forming a photosensitive layer containing a specified bisazo compound. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contains at least one of the bisazo compounds represented by formula I in which each of X1 and X2 is halogen or optionally substituted alkyl or the like; at least one of them is halogen; each of p and q is 0, 1, or 2; A is a group represented by formula II; Ar is an aromatic hydrocarbon group or heterocyclic group each having a fluorinated hydrocarbon group; Z is an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or the like; and each of m and n is 0, 1, or 2, thus permitting said compound to preform superior action as an electric charge generating material. |
