DRYING PROCESS AND ITS APPARATUS UTILIZING A REFRIGERATION CYCLE

The drying chamber (20) using a refrigerating system has an insulated casing (22) with a compartment (E) inside the top containing a fan (14) between an evaporator (B) and a heater (C). Between the evaporator and fan is a heat exchanger (D). Air is circulated through the compartment to travel downwards and horizontally through shelves (23) carrying the material to be dried before passing upwards assisted by another fan (26). The compartment which is open at one end (13) has an insulating housing (10). An inlet opening through the side of the housing is positioned to direct the air flow through the heat exchanger. The heater can be electrical or the condenser.
