<p>PURPOSE: To presume a shear resilient feature of a living body texture, by measuring an elastic acoustic wave without penetrating into a flexible living body texture, by using an acoustic wave transmitter and receiver. CONSTITUTION: A piezo transducer 1, 2, 3 with a contact end is mounted to a probe body through a slender shaft, this mounting is conducted in such a manner that a moving vector of an elastic vibration of a piezo transducer 1 for transmittance and moving vectors of two elastic vibrations of two piezo transducers 2, 3 for receiving are made to agree with a binding line of contact ends as well as to have the same direction, and the shaft acts as a delay line 7, 8. A protecting case 12 for a correcting device of a probe acts for a correction of pressing power of the piezo transducer to a measuring sample, and a circuit connected with the piezo transducer and the pressure correction device measures an elastic acoustic wave without penetrating into the flexible living body texture by using an elapsed time from the beginning of transmission of an acoustic wave pulse from the transmitter to the arrival of the pulse at the receiver 2 while the pulse being propagated in the texture.</p> |
