PURPOSE:To obtain a certain back-up even when an individual unit control device has a trouble by mutually delivering and receiving diagnostic data among a plural number of unit control devices respectively provided with their own self-diagnostic functions such as engine control, automatic running control and others. CONSTITUTION:An automatic constant speed running control device 2 consists of a micro computer 20, an amplification circuit 21, an output driving element 22 and a resistance 23, and based on the speed setting of a speed setting switch 15, a throttle valve 3 is controlled with an actuator 5. An engine control device 6 is also provided with a micro computer 60 and makes fuel injection control on the basis of the input of a crank angle sensor and an air flow sensor. A data transfer system by SCI is provided between micro computers of both control devices and data for fail-safe self-diagnosis are mutually given and received. Even when the fail-safe function at a unit control device does not effectively work, it is possible to obtain a back-up of other unit control devices so as to secure the safety. |
