PURPOSE:To prevent deposit of intermetallic compound of Al3Zr, etc., in a spout by impressing vibration with an exciting means to a spout under the specific condition in the spout for pouring molten metal into a groove in a casting wheel. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal melted to the specific composition of an ultra super heat resistant aluminum alloy in a melting and holding furnace 1, is supplied into the spout 4 through a trough 2 and supporting member 3 and supplied into a groove 6 in a casting wheel 5 through the spout 4. In this case, at the process, which the molten metal reaches to the spout 4 from a holding furnace 1 through the trough 2 and the supporting member 3, the local lowering of the temp. of the molten metal is developed and the Al3Zr intermetallic compound is precipitated or will be started to precipitate from the molten metal containing large quantity of Zr. However, as the spout 4 impresses the vibration with the electromagnetic excitor 20 under condition of 10<2>-10<4>Hz vibrating frequency and 10<1>-10<2>cm/mum vibrating speed, the Al3Zr intermetallic compound is smoothly supplied into the casting wheel 5 in order. Therefore, it is not caused that the intermetallic compound is deposited at the tip part of the spout 4, lumped and supplied in the groove 6 is the casting wheel 5. |
