Tidal power generation units are set on the upper plate of the piers. The unit is constructed in such a manner that the bottom is positioned below the seawater level of the eff tide, the top is positioned above the seawater level of the tide, and guide ways (8) are provided at both side walls thereof. A number of wall plates (9) for cutting-off the tide are disposed between the piers belows the units. The movement of the seawater is done only through the guide ways (8) and generates the electric power through the electric generators within the unit.
