PURPOSE:To uniformize each pressure out of high pressure fuel being charged to a vertical groove and a lead part by forming a notch in an unused areal part of the head leading to the vertical groove from a terminal part of the lead of a plunger so as to be interconnected to the vertical groove. CONSTITUTION:A triangular notch 23, as pressure balance use, is formed in an unused areal part, or not a peripheral surface part, say, a vertical groove 17 and a lead 18 that are related to oil feed starting and finishing for actual fuel. With this formation, in an interval between a plunger 21 and a plunger barrel, high pressure fuel comes to be charged to the vertical groove 17, the lead 18 and the notch 23 in consequence, and thereby pressure to an inner wall of the plunger barrel by the high pressure fuel comes to be almost uniformized in the circumferential direction of the plunger 21. Consequently, since pressure balance is almost uniformized on the whole circumference of the plunger 21, oval form or ununiformed deformation in the plunger barrel is thus prevented from occurring. |
