PURPOSE:To obtain high output power and high efficiency by arranging sections which generate metal vapor laser beams of Au, Cu and Sr in series, in a white color laser apparatus comprising a single tube which oscillates the laser beams having three or more kinds of wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:In a white laser apparatus, sections constituted of laser devices for Au, Cu and Sr are arranged in series. With respect to the order of arrangement, the Sr section is arranged at a part that is closest to a cathode because the Sr section requires the highest energy in excitation. Heat insulating materials 5Aa, 5Ca and 5Sa are provided at the outside of discharge parts 2. The materials are covered with a quartz tube 3. Insulating materials 5Ab, 5Cb and 5Sb are provided at the outside of the quartz tube 3. The outermost part is formed with a glass tube 4. The insides of the quartz tube 3 and the glass tube 4 are in the approximately vacuum state. A low pressure buffer gas such as He or Ne is sealed in the inside of the quartz tube 3. |
