PURPOSE:To use both of a single-mode and multi-mode fibers as the fiber for optical transmission by providing an optical connector provided on the end section of the fiber for optical transmission and another optical connector which is directly connectible with the optical connector on the light condensing side of a common port lens. CONSTITUTION:An optical connector 21 formed at the end section of a fiber 23 for optical transmission and another optical connector which is directly connectible with the connector 21 are provided on the light condensing side of a common port lens 6. Therefore, since no coupling light loss occurs even when both of a single-mode and multi-mode fibers are used as the fiber for optical transmission, it becomes unnecessary to exchange an optical multiplexing/demultiplexing module in accordance with the used fiber for optical transmission. Thus both of a single-mode and multi-mode fibers can be used as the fiber for optical transmission. |
