PURPOSE:To stabilize the structure of a bulky fancy yarn by applying intermittent false-twisting to a false-twisted and crimped thermoplastic synthetic multifilament yarn to form twisted and collected part with S-twist and Z-twist and non-twisted part and interlocking the treated yarn to form loops on the fancy yarn. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic synthetic multifilament yarn is subjected to false twisting and crimping treatment e.g. at a false-twisting number (T/M) of 25,000/D<1/2>-35,000/D<1/2> (D is denier of the multifilament yarn) and an over-feed ratio of 0.05-0.30g/d of twisting tension at a false-twisting temperature of 160-240 deg.C. The processed yarn is subjected to intermittent false-twisting treatment to alternately form twisted and collected parts collected by S-twist and Z-twist and non-twisted parts is longitudinal direction to obtain the objective fancy yarn having a bulkiness of >=200%. The fancy yarn gives a fabric with soft voluminous feeling and natural variation of the appearance rich in the change of unevenness. |
