PURPOSE:To improve the rate of search for a target with a low relative speed by adding a low PRF generator for a pulse radar and a PRF switch to the titled radar equipment, and switching radar modes according to the altitude of a mounting mother aircraft. CONSTITUTION:The radar equipments which has a PRF (pulse repetitive frequency) generator 7 for a pulse Doppler radar is provided additionally with the low-PRF generator 9 for the pulse radar and the PRF switch 8. Altitude information on the mounting mother aircraft is obtained; when the altitude of the mother aircraft exceeds a specific altitude, the PRF switch 8 sends the output of said low-PRF generator 9 to a transmission signal generator 6 and when the altitude decreases below the specific altitude, on the other hand, the output of the PRF generator 7 is sent to the transmission signal generator 6. Consequently, the problem of the discrimination of the Doppler spectrum of a clutter is eliminated and the rate of search for a target which approaches the mother aircraft from behind and has a relative speed is improved. |
