PURPOSE: To seal a joint in the case where a conduit is angled at a low friction coefficient and tends to expand or the case of a high temperature by using a bearing seal of a graphite composition for a universal ball joint. CONSTITUTION: In a universal ball joint 10, an annular bearing seal means 80 is interposed between a bearing seal contact section 46 of an annular outer race 44 and an inner retainer 60. Here, the bearing seal means 80 is formed of a graphite composition with a wire mesh core 84 therein. Consequently, a conduit 12 can be angled while remaining a low friction coefficient since there is no contact portion between metals. Further, the joint 10 can be sealed by bellows 24 and the bearing seal means 80 without occurrence of leakage or disassembly regardless of the temperature or the expansion tendency of the conduit 12.
