PURPOSE:To support electromagnetic force generated at a superconducting magnet and to eliminate the limit of an installing conditions by electrically connecting a superconducting toroidal magnet in series with a cylindrical superconducting solenoid magnet. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting solenoid magnet 2 is so disposed as to enclose a superconducting toroidal magnet 1 to construct a superconducting energy storing device. The magnet 1 generates a centripetal force wholly gathered to a center and a hoop force for increasing the radius of the magnet by an excitation power source 3, and the magnet 2 generates a hoop force for increasing the radius and a pinch force generated due to the same current directions. The hoop force of the magnet 1 and the pinch force of the magnet 2, and the centripetal force of the magnet 1 and the hoop force of the magnet 2 cancel to each other. The support of a rock bed by the electromagnetic force indispensable in the storing device is eliminated. |
