PURPOSE:To produce a rubber-reinforcing steel cord with good rubber penetration ratio in one step by arranging two rotating bodies respectively having a cradle equipped with respective plural delivery reels therein on the same shaft and threading strands delivered from the respective reels in a special state. CONSTITUTION:Two rotating bodies (A) and (B) are arranged on the same shaft. Cradles 7 and 17 are respectively provided in the interiors of both rotating bodies (A) and (B) and many delivery reels 4-6, 15-16 are provided therein. Strands delivered from the delivery reels 4-6 in the interior of one rotating body (A) are twisted by rotation of the rotating body (A), taken out of the shaft center of the rotating body (A) then introduced into the shaft center of the other rotating body (B), passed through the outer periphery of the rotating body (B) and then through the shaft of the rotating body (B). At this time, the strands 13 and 14 delivered from the delivery reels in the rotating body (B) are intertwisted. The strands are delivered from the shaft center, simultaneously intertwisted and formed into a cord, which is then wound onto a reel 27. |
