PREPARATION OF ACRYLIC POLYMER

Fluoroacryl monomers of formula (I) are prepd. by reacting diisocyanate [O=C=N-Z-N=C=0 with trifluoro compound [RF-W-Q-H and R'NH-A-OCO-C(R)=CH2 in an organic solvent at 30-90≰C. In the formulas RF is straight- or branched-perfluoroalkyl ; R is H or methyl ; R' is alkyl or cycloalkyl ; -NR'- is 1,4-piperazinylene ; W is linkage contg. O,S and/or N ; Q is O or S ; Z is aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic linkage ; A is C2-3 alkylene. The monomers are useful for treating leather articles.
