NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (one of U, V, W, and X represents OH and the remaining three thereof represent H; Y represents methyl, ethyl or isopropyl; Z represents OH or hydroxyimino). USE:An insecticide, miticide and parasiticidic agent. PREPARATION:A microorganism belonging to the genus streptomyces [example; streptomyces libani sub. sp. libani (FERM 9991)] is cultured in a culture medium containing a compound expressed by formula II as a substrate or a cultured cell or an enzyme extract of the microorganism is brought into contact with a compound expressed by formula II to convert it into a compound expressed by formula I, which is collected thereafter. |
