PURPOSE: To obtain such a dispensing closure as to prevent a closing member from slipping off the base cap member during closing the lid by improving the closing member so that a plug portion possessed thereby does not come off, when entering an opening in the base cap, by rotating the closing member relative to the base cap. CONSTITUTION: In order to facilitate the rotation of a closing member from a closing position to a dispensing position, the closing member 24 is formed so as to have the front edge 50 that can be approached from the periphery of a recessed wall part 28 when positioned at the closing position relative to the base cap 22. Being separated inward from the front edge 50 of the closing member 24 there is a plug member 52 that is hopefully ring-shaped, sized so as to properly engage with a dispensing hole 32 of the base cap member 22 when the member 24 is at the closing position and positioned along the closing member. To provide the largest resistance against accidental dislocation of the lid 12 from the bottle 14, inside of the skirt 66 of the base cap member 22 of the lid 12 is equipped with ratchet teeth 68 projecting inward and being led onto the circumference, which engage with the corresponding ratchet teeth 70 projecting outward and being led onto the circumference on the finished portion of the bottle 14. |
