COMB-SHAPED MODIFIED MICRO-ELECTRODE CELL AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To allow excellent electrochemical measurement by forming a pair of comb-shaped working electrodes meshed with each other, a reference electrode and a counter electrode on the same substrate and modifying at least either of the comb-shaped working electrodes with an oxidation-reduction type material having a catalytic effect. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the comb-shaped electrodes 1, 2 meshed with each other, the reference electrode 3 and the counter electrode 4 are formed on the silicon substrate 6 with an oxide film. A lead wire is connected to an electrode part 1-2 of the electrode 1 and the substrate is immersed in an aq. soln. of glucose oxidase and pyrrole to effect an electrolytic polymn., by which a polymerized pyrrole film 9 contg. the glucose oxidase is deposited. The sensitivity is improved and the excellent electrochemical measurement is executed by forming the cell in such a manner.
