PURPOSE:To obtain an image stabilized at any temp. by detecting temp. of a photoreceptor or its vicinity, and controlling an exposing means in accordance with its detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 51a dependent on temp. having charging and sensitivity characteristics as shown in the figures where X is photoreceptor temp. and Y is acceptance potential, and Y' is charge having exposure is applied to the outside circumference of the drum 51 of the photoreceptor, and rotates clockwise. A potential sensor 55 is installed in the vicinity of the photoreceptor 51a and at the position following the step of a charger 52 to control voltage applied to the charger 52 in accordance with the potential of the photoreceptor 51a after charging and to adjust charged potential of the photoreceptor 51a to a constant value, thus permitting an image stabilized at any temp. to be obtained.
