PURPOSE: To obtain a copy image having a plurality of kinds of hues at a specific place by applying a first image forming component and complementary image forming components containing dye precursors capable of obtaining various colored reaction products upon the contact with the first image forming component by the destruction of microcapsules to a copy substrate. CONSTITUTION: A first image forming component 16 is applied to the front surface of a recording substrate as a coating layer. Complementary image forming components 18, 20 are obtained by enclosing leuco dye precursors in microcapsules and form colored reaction products upon the contact with the first image forming component such as a phenol resin or reactive clay. A recording substrate 12 and a transfer substrate 14 are arranged in a mutual contact state and the first image forming component and the complementary image forming components 18, 20 are arranged side by side so as to be brought to a mutual pressure-sensitive contact state. The complementary image forming component 18 is applied to the selected place on the first image forming component applied to the recording substrate 12 and the other complementary image forming component 20 is applied to the selected place on the transfer substrate 14. By using (n) kinds of different dye precursors as the complementary image forming components, a colored copy image having (n) kinds of different hues can be obtained on the recording substrate. |
