PURPOSE:To dispense with the carry of a spare tip top by forming a tip top- holding space in a butt other than the inner space to hold the blade and middle rod. CONSTITUTION:A thick-walled part is formed at the lower part of the main body 13 of a butt and a tip top-holding space 35 for holding the tip top 33 such as rod tip is formed in the thick-walled part. The tip top-holding part 35 is formed along the axial direction of the main body 13 and has a tapered form corresponding to the form of the tip end 33. A lid member 39 to close the space 35 is placed at the rear end of the tip top-holding space 35. The fishing rod is produced by parallelly placing a large-diameter mandrel to wind a prepreg sheet for forming a butt and a small-diameter mandrel to wind a prepreg sheet for forming a tip top-holding space in such a manner as to contact the prepreg sheets with each other, winding the outer circumference of the above wound prepreg sheets with a prepreg sheet for forming an outer layer, taping and baking the product and extracting the mandrels from the product. |
