PURPOSE: To produce a bed cover which doesn't have cold/warm air bridgings in the quilting seams more easily and at lower cost by keeping two outer shells with certain space between them, using webs equivalent to the batting instead of webs similar to the shell material. CONSTITUTION: This cover 1 consists of two shells 2 and 3, and batting 4 is inserted between the shells. The batting 4 consists of spherical fiber aggregates 5 made of fibers tangled with each other to be balls. The shells 2 and 3 are sewn together with a thread 6 at prescribed positions. Fiber aggregates 7 made of fibers tangled with each other to be balls are formed inside the quilted area of the cover 1. Since the fiber aggregates 7 are firmly held by the quilting thread 6, a prescribed space is maintained between the shells 2 and 3 even inside the quilted area, so that there will be no cold/warm air bridgings which usually exist in quilting seams of a cover. |
