PURPOSE:To improve thermal response property and sensitivity and make sufficiently adaptable to high speed printing by a method wherein a sensitizer for thermal recording material having at least one kind of naphthalimide derivatives as a main component is joined. CONSTITUTION:A sensitizer has at least one kind of naphthalimide derivatives given by the formula (1) as a main component. In the formula R expresses alkyl radical, alkenyl radical, cycloalkyl radical, alkoxyalkyl radical, alkylaminoalkyl radical, phenyl radical or halogen atom, nitro radical, methyl radical, and phenyl radical or benzyl radical substituted by methoxy radical or ethoxy radical of which carbon number is 1 to 6. The sensitizer may be used jointly with another sensitizer. As the sensitizer to be jointly used, higher fatty acid or its sensitizer, amide, metal salts and besides various waxes, condensate of aromatic carboxylic acid and amine, higher straight chain glycol group, higher ketone group, bisphenol S derivative, etc. are exemplified. |
