摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable clear images to be recorded at high speed by applying a plurality of kinds of energy to a transfer recording medium at a recording part to form images, transferring the images onto an image-receiving medium at a transferring part, and applying optical energy according to the periods of time necessary for varying the physical properties governing the transfer characteristics of respective image-forming elements. CONSTITUTION:An inner surface of a rotary body 3c is coated with three fluorescent materials A, B, C having spectral distributions shown in the graph, in stripes perpendicular to the rotating direction of the body 3c. The coating widths of the fluorescent materials, measured along the circumferential direction of the rotary body 3c, are set in the ratio of 2:3:7. With the rotary body 3c rotated and irradiated with light from a light source 3g, the fluorescent materials A, B, C are sequentially excited to emit light, whereby a transfer recording layer 1b is irradiated sequentially with a lights having the respective spectral distributions through slits 3i. Generation of heat by heat generating elements 3b, the rotation of the rotary body 3c and turning-ON of the light source 3g are controlled according to the image signals for colors complementary to magenta, cyan and yellow, respectively, thereby forming images to be transferred, while the transfer recording medium is fed synchronously with the image formation with a repetition period of 90ms/Lins.</p>
