PURPOSE:To perform constantly the appropriate control of the line compressure by measuring the whole changing of speed time from an changing command of the friction element to the completion of a gear ratio change and controlling the line pressure during the changing of speed so that the whole changing of speed time coincides with the set point. CONSTITUTION:In a change gear mechanism, each kind of the friction element is selectively actuated by the line pressure so as to select the predetermined variable speed and the speed is changed. During this time, a whole changing of speed time measuring means detects the change of the gear ratio on the basis of the input and the output rotation sensors and measures the time from the changing command of the friction element to the completion of the change of the gear ratio, that is, the whole changing of speed time at the changing of speed. And a line pressure adjusting means controls the line pressure so that the whole changing of speed time coincides with the set point. When the change of the inertia phase time to the change of the line pressure is small, the appropriate control of the line pressure is constantly performed and the generation of a large changing of speed shock and the life lower of the friction element are avoided. |
