PURPOSE:To enhance safety and reliability by increasing the diameter of a flexible hose when a self-traveling conveyor truck during vertically moving is brought into a non-control state to bring it into pressure contact with the brake shoe of the truck. CONSTITUTION:Since the electromagnetic coupling of a stator unit LIM1 with a moving element LIM2 is eliminated when a power source for a linear motor is interrupted, a self-traveling conveyor truck 4 entered into the vertical section 1B of rails 1 starts being accelerated by its own weight. On the other hand, a solenoid valve 14 is opened simultaneously upon power interruption to supply compressed gas from a compressed gas storage tank 15 into a flexible hose 10. Thus, the hose 10 is circularly increased in its diameter to partly expand from the hose expansion opening 13 of a hose containing frame 12. Then, a brake shoe 8 is strongly frictionally engaged with the hose 10 to frictionally brake the truck 4.
